Cafe Coffee Day.

Our place is located on Pazhanchire Temple Road in the Poonthura area of Trivandrum. We have been here at the Jayakrishna building for quite a while now. It is a pretty straightforward setup where people come in to get a drink and sit down for a bit. The street outside can get quite busy with people heading toward the temple, so we see a lot of different faces throughout the day. Inside, we just have the usual tables and chairs you would expect. The coffee machine makes a lot of noise, and that is usually the main sound you hear along with the ceiling fans. We spend a good amount of time every morning just getting the floor swept and making sure the counters are wiped down. It is not a very large space, so it can get a bit crowded on the weekends when more people are out and about. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when the Kerala heat really picks up in the afternoon, but we do what we can. We do not have any fancy decorations or anything like that. It is just a local spot where you can grab a cup and wait for the rain to stop or meet someone for a quick chat. We keep a few newspapers around for people to read while they sit. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the neighborhood well. It is just a regular job for us, keeping the place open and the coffee ready.
