Callista Cafe

We are located in the Avanthi Building, right across from Government Victoria College. It gets very loud around here when the classes let out and the students come over in groups. Most of them are looking for a quick drink and a place to sit with their friends. I have seen many students come and go over the years. The building is a bit old, but it stays relatively cool inside even when it is hot outside. We serve coffee and a few simple snacks. The menu is not big because our kitchen area is quite small. Mostly I am just rushing around trying to keep up with all the orders during the lunch break. It can get a bit chaotic sometimes. I forget things occasionally when it is really busy, but people are usually okay about it. The chairs in here do not always match, but nobody seems to care. I spend a lot of my time cleaning the windows because of the dust from the main road. It is a decent spot for a break if you are in the area. Some students bring their books and stay for a couple of hours. I do not mind as long as there is enough room for everyone else. In the mornings, it is mostly the staff from the nearby offices coming in. We do not do anything special, just the usual things. Sometimes we run out of milk and I have to send someone down the street to get some more.
