A & V Metalmagic

A & V Metalmagic is our workshop over in Vavara Ambalam, right by the Muslim Masjid. It’s where we get down to business every day, mostly dealing with metal and making things that people around Pothencode need. It gets pretty loud in here with the tools running, but that’s just how it goes when you’re cutting and shaping stuff. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. People stop by to ask if we can fix something or build a gate, and we just do what we can. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a place with a lot of scrap pieces, welding gear, and dust. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down because there’s usually a pile of work waiting. If you walk past the masjid, you’ll probably hear us working. The heat can be a lot sometimes, especially in the afternoons, but the work has to get done. We know most of the neighbors and they know us. We just keep our heads down and handle the metalwork as it comes in. There’s no big secret to what we do. It’s just manual labor and making sure the measurements are mostly right so things fit together. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s a bit slower, but the shop stays open. We like it here in this part of the district. It’s home and it’s where we work.
