Keezhuvilayathu Fabrications

We have been doing fabrication work at Keezhuvilayathu Fabrications for a long time now. The shop is situated right near Kurishadi Junction, not far from the Nalanchira Post Office. It is a convenient spot for people to drop by when they are out running errands. Most days you can hear the sound of welding and grinding coming from our workspace. We take on all sorts of metal jobs, whether it is something small for a house or a bigger frame for a local project. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and scraps, but we try to sweep up at the end of every day. It’s a hands-on kind of place, so our hands are usually stained with grease or soot. We don't really have a sales team or anything like that; it is just the guys who do the work talking to the customers. Sometimes people bring in sketches on scraps of paper, and we sit down and figure out how to build it for them. It is a simple way of doing things, but it works for us and the folks in Nalanchira. The weather can get pretty hot inside the shed, especially with the torches running, but we have a good rhythm going. We are just local people making things out of metal and trying to do a decent job of it every single day.
