Welcome Import & Export

Our office for Welcome Import & Export is located at 1510, B.L.N. Lane in the South Rampart area. If you’ve ever been down this lane, you know how narrow it is and how hard it is to find a spot for a scooter, let alone a truck. We spend most of our mornings on the phone dealing with customs agents or checking on where a particular shipment has got to. It’s a lot of paperwork, and the desks are usually buried under piles of invoices and shipping manifests. We handle all sorts of goods, whatever needs to be moved across the border. It’s not a glamorous life, just a lot of sitting in a small room with an old air conditioner that makes too much noise. South Rampart is a lively place though, and there’s always a good tea stall nearby when we need a break. We don't have any corporate slogans or a big mission. We just want to make sure the boxes get from point A to point B without getting stuck for weeks. Sometimes the internet goes down and we can’t track anything, which makes for a very stressful afternoon. My partner and I have been doing this for years, so we’ve seen just about every kind of delay you can imagine. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the ledgers are balanced and the clients aren't waiting too long for their stuff.
