Abs Trading Co. is located at 2, Ulupakara Street in Orathanadu. It's a small place, right there on the street where everyone passes by. We've been in Orathanadu for years, so we know just about everyone who walks past our door. The business is pretty straightforward. We trade in a few different things, depending on what people are asking for at the time. Our shop isn't anything special to look at. It's got shelves, a desk, and usually a few boxes waiting to be sent out. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's just us handling the buying and selling. Some days are quiet and we just sit and talk to the neighbors. Other days, we’re running around trying to get orders filled before the courier comes. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of our notes are still on paper. It works for us. Ulupakara Street is a good spot because it’s central. We like being part of the local life here. We don't spend money on big ads or trying to look bigger than we are. We're just a local trading company doing what we've always done. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, but we keep the shop open anyway. It’s just how it is. We appreciate the people who have stuck with us over the years. We just stay here and keep trading.
