The workshop is down at Plot No. 268 in the Pandey Industrial Estate, right on Pokhran Road No.1. It’s an industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise from the other units and trucks moving in and out all day. At Yash Die Casters, we deal with the heat and the metal. It’s a dusty place, honestly. You can’t really keep a place like this clean when you’re doing die casting. My clothes usually have some grease on them by noon. We’ve got the machines running most of the time. It’s hard work and it gets very warm inside the shed, especially during the summer months. We just focus on getting the parts out on time. There’s no fancy office with air conditioning here, just a small corner with a desk where we keep the ledgers and handle the phone calls. The guys on the floor know what they’re doing, and we’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now. Pokhran Road has changed a lot, but this estate stays pretty much the same. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the molds are right. We don't do much talking, just keep the production going. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the machines before you see the door. That’s just the way the business is. It’s sweaty and loud, but we get the job done for the people who need these parts made.
