We are over at Mek Industrial Estate, right across from the fire brigade station. It’s Al Evaan Industries. We’ve been in this C-98 unit for a good bit of time now. It’s a noisy place with the machines running all day. We do manufacturing work here. It’s mostly metal parts and some custom orders that come in from other local businesses. My hands are usually greasy by ten in the morning. I started this with a couple of old machines and we just kept going year after year. It’s not a corporate office. There is a lot of metal dust and the smell of cutting oil is everywhere. We have a small team of workers who have been with me for a long time. We eat our lunch together on the shop floor most days. The fire brigade across the road is a good landmark because people always get lost in the industrial estate streets. The gate is a bit rusty and it always sticks when it rains. We don't do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. They know we just get the job done and send it out on time. I spend my afternoons checking the inventory and making sure the orders are ready for the delivery trucks. It’s hard work, and the heat in the summer is pretty bad inside the corrugated shed, but we keep the fans going and finish the day’s tasks.
