Sai Datta Seals Plastic Industries

Our workshop is located in Gala No. 12 at Mhatre Compound. If you’re heading down Uttan Road in Bhayandar West, we are right near the big Coca Cola godown. It’s a bit of a trek out to Morva Village, but that’s where all the industrial work happens. We make plastic seals here. It’s a specific kind of business, and we have the machines running most of the day. The smell of hot plastic is something we’re used to by now. It’s a small space, filled with molds and crates of finished products. We spend our time making sure the machines are set correctly so the seals come out the right size and shape. It’s not fancy work, but these little plastic pieces are important for a lot of different industries. We’ve been in Mhatre Compound for a while and we know the other people working in the nearby galas. It’s a community of small manufacturers. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. We don't have a marketing department; we just make our products and send them out to the people who need them. Being near the Coca Cola godown makes us easy to find if you’re in the area. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished on time. It’s what keeps the lights on and keeps us coming back every morning.
