The Learning Curve, Koperkhairne

Our place is located at Plot 38 in Sector 2, right near Rajdhani Sweets in Koperkhairne. It is actually a row house, so it feels more like a home than a big cold building. This works out well for the younger kids because they don't feel intimidated when they walk in. We spend a lot of time on the ground floor where we have set up the different play areas and spots for sitting down. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. Being near the sweet shop means there is always a bit of life on the street. We keep things pretty simple here. There are colorful walls and some toys, and the teachers spend their time making sure the children are safe and occupied. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in Navi Mumbai. We just want to be a reliable spot where parents can drop off their kids and know they are being looked after. Sometimes the kids get a bit messy with the paints, but that is just part of the day. We have a small outdoor area where they can get some fresh air when the weather isn't too humid. It isn't a high-pressure environment. We talk to the parents at the gate every afternoon during pickup. It is a nice way to keep everyone informed about what happened during the day. Just a regular local spot doing its best for the neighborhood families. We’ve been part of this street for a while now.
