Shafi Cool Drinks

If you look for 12/56 in Khambil, you will find us right near the HDFC Bank. It’s a small shop, mostly just a big fridge and some shelf space for the bottles. We started Shafi Cool Drinks because there wasn't much else in this part of Khambil for a long time. The bank brings a lot of people to this street, so we get a bit of foot traffic during the day. Sometimes it gets crowded inside when everyone wants something at the same time. The fridge makes a loud humming sound that you just get used to after a few hours. We don't have any air conditioning, so we just leave the front open to get a breeze. It’s mostly just us handling the crates and making sure the stock doesn't run out. We get deliveries early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The floor is a bit uneven and we have to be careful when moving the glass bottles so nothing breaks. It is just a regular local business. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. If you need a drink, you just come to the counter and ask. Khambil is a quiet place most of the time, except for when the bank is busy. We are just happy to be here in this corner doing our daily work.
