Running Rekhi Mills Llp out of Mira Road keeps us on our toes every single day. We are based in the Saraswati building, which is part of the Jangid Complex. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets around here with all the traffic and people moving about constantly. Our space is in the B Wing, specifically on the fifth floor. It is a bit of a walk if the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to people on the phone about delivery times. It gets pretty cramped inside with all the files and samples lying around on the desks. We usually have the windows open to catch a breeze, but mostly we just hear the sounds of the street and the horns below. We are not some huge corporation with hundreds of people; it is just a small group of us trying to make things work in a tight space. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is behind schedule, and we end up eating snacks from the local shops downstairs. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving equipment in and out, and the chairs do not all match. We do not really mind though. As long as the work gets done and the items are shipped out, we are happy enough. It is a lot of routine stuff, but it is our daily life.
