Our shop is down in Shop No 001 at Dharma Paradise. If you know the Bhopar area in Nilje, you know it’s getting more crowded every day. We’re right there in Dombivali, which is a busy part of Thane. Lahza Mas is where we handle our daily business. It’s a small ground floor space, which makes it easier for loading and unloading things without too much trouble. The area has a lot of dust because of all the new buildings going up, but that’s just part of living in this part of the world. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready and the evenings finishing up the accounts. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy decorations or a big lobby. There’s just enough room for us to do our work and store what we need. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, but we just wait it out or use a torch. Being in Maharashtra, especially this close to Mumbai, means there is always someone looking for something. We try to be helpful when people stop by the shop. It isn't a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy. We’ve got the address fixed at Nilje, and it’s become a second home for most of us working here. We just take it one day at a time and see how things go with the stock. It's a lot of lifting and counting, but we don't mind the work. The traffic in Dombivali is the only real headache we face most days.
