Our office is tucked away in Flat 1602 of the Frazer building, which is part of the Riverdale Vista complex on Godrej Hill. It’s a quiet spot in Khadakpada, far enough away from the main road noise to get some real work done. We aren't a typical shop where people walk in off the street to browse. Instead, we handle the administrative and management side of the wine business from this apartment. It’s a bit unusual for some people to hear we’re in a residential building, but it works for us. We spend the day on the phone with suppliers or looking at spreadsheets on the computer. From the window, you can see the hills, especially when it rains and everything turns green. The lift in Frazer can be a bit temperamental sometimes, so we end up waiting in the lobby more than we'd like. It’s a small operation with just a handful of staff members who have been together for a long time. We don't have any flashy decor or big meetings. Most of our time is spent tracking shipments and making sure the licensing paperwork is up to date. Khadakpada has grown so fast recently that the area feels totally different than it did a few years ago. We just keep to our routine here in the flat, making sure the business side of things stays steady and organized.
