Over in Thakur Village, at Nagdevi 20, you will find our little spot called Juicy Sip. It is not a big shop at all, just enough room for the fruit crates and the juicers we use all day. We spend most of our time peeling oranges and chopping up pineapples. The floor usually has a few stray bits of fruit skin on it despite how often we try to sweep it. It is a busy area with a lot of people walking by, so there is always someone stopping for a quick drink to cool down. We do not have a menu with a hundred different items, just whatever fruit happens to be good and fresh that day. The blenders make a lot of noise, so we often have to shout a bit to hear the orders over the sound. It is very hot in the summer, and the ice melts fast, so we are always running to get more from the supplier. We use simple glass tumblers that we wash in the back. It is a straightforward business without any complications. We are not trying to be a health club or a fancy cafe. It is just juice. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and nobody really wants a cold drink, but usually, we stay pretty occupied. Our regulars know us by name, and we know who likes extra ginger or no sugar in their cup. It is just a small part of the daily village life here.
