Green Rocks Cafe

You’ll find our cafe in the Swapnapurti Building, which is part of the Shashtrinagar Society in Kandivali East, near the Raheja area. It’s a very simple setup, nothing like the corporate cafes you see downtown. We just wanted to have a place where people in the society could come for a quick tea or a snack without any fuss. The furniture is a bit of a mix, and the walls have a few scuffs, but it’s a comfortable spot for our neighbors. We do everything ourselves, from brewing the tea to making the sandwiches and snacks. It’s a small operation, and we don't have any big ambitions to expand. We just like the daily routine of serving the people we know. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the younger crowd comes in, but we don't mind. We don't have a fancy menu or a big marketing budget. We just write our daily specials on a small board. The kitchen is small, so we can only make a few things at a time. We try to use fresh ingredients we buy from the local market. If we run out of something, we just let people know. It’s an honest, practical business. We’ve been in Kandivali for a long time and we feel like the cafe is just an extension of our home. We appreciate everyone who stops by for a chat and a cup of tea. It keeps the place going.
