Ekjut Rice Product Association

Ekjut Rice Product Association is based at House Number 260 in Shahapur Ubbrai. This is out in the Thane district, near the edge of Mumbai. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, which makes sense because we deal with rice products. The area around Shahapur is much more open and green than the crowded streets of Mumbai City. Our association works out of this house. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a corporate office with elevators or anything like that. It’s just a building where we get together to manage our rice products. The people around here know us as the rice folks. Most of our time is spent talking to the farmers and checking the quality of the bags. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. The air is a bit cleaner out here in 421403. Our daily routine involves a lot of checking the weather and the local market prices. We are a group of people who just know rice. We’ve been doing this in Shahapur for a while. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s good work. The association is really just about local people working together. We have our meetings in the main room of H. No. 260. It’s a practical space. We don't need much else to get the job done. It’s quiet, it’s honest, and it’s home for Ekjut Rice. We just keep going one day at a time.
