Associated Cement Company-Overseas Project Cell, Mumbai is what we call ourselves. Even though the name says Mumbai, we are actually operating out of Thane. We’ve had a long run here, even though some of our paperwork had that 14.02.2016 date on it. We focus on the overseas projects, which means a lot of big stuff like cement. It’s a specific kind of work. You aren't just moving small boxes; you're dealing with materials for big construction jobs. Our office in Thane is usually full of maps and project plans. We spend a lot of time talking to people in other countries. It can be a bit confusing with the time zones, but we make it work. Most of us have been with the company for a long time. We remember when things were done mostly on paper before everything went digital. Dealing with cement and large-scale projects is messy and complicated, but it feels good to see a project actually get finished. We don't have a lot of time for marketing or looking polished. We are usually too busy worrying about shipping schedules and port clearances. Thane is a good spot for us because it’s close enough to the action but has its own pace. We just focus on getting the materials where they need to go for these big overseas builds. It’s steady work and we take it one day at a time.
