Artecraft International The Furniture Co.

We are based at D-247 in the Amargian building, right in the Khopat area of Thane West. It’s directly opposite the S.T. Workshop on L.B.S. Road, which is a landmark most people around here know. Artecraft International The Furniture Co. is where we spend our long days. It’s more of a workshop feel than a shiny store. There are always shavings on the floor and the sound of a saw somewhere in the back. We focus on getting the details right on the furniture we handle. L.B.S. Road is always loud with traffic, so we’ve gotten used to the constant honking outside. Inside, we’re usually debating about a particular joint or the type of fabric for a chair. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We have a lot of tools hanging on the walls and pieces of half-finished projects sitting in corners. People drop by to see how their orders are coming along, and we usually just show them the progress right there on the workbench. It’s not a corporate environment at all; we’re often in dusty clothes and drinking tea while we work. Thane has grown so much, but this corner of Khopat still feels like home to us. We just keep making things, one piece at a time, and hope they work out well for whoever buys them.
