Arambh Namkeen Llp

Arambh Namkeen is based out of a house in Kasheli, number 405/65 to be exact. It’s not a big factory or a shiny office building. We work out of this space and it’s where everything happens. Kasheli is a bit on the outskirts, so it’s different from the middle of the city. We make namkeen, which is basically the savory snacks everyone likes to eat with their tea. It’s a lot of frying and seasoning and packing. The smell of spices is always in the air here. Some days it’s quite strong. We started this because we knew how to make good snacks and figured we could make a go of it as a business. It’s mostly family and a few neighbors who help out. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just make the snacks and sell them. The road to Kasheli can be a bit rough, especially during the rains. We’ve had times when the water gets quite high and we have to move everything to higher ground. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you’re in this area. We spend our time checking the quality of the oil and the crunch of the sev. It’s simple work but it takes time to get it right. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent little business from our home base and hoping people like what we make.
