Al Meme

Al Meme is located at Shop No.3 right at Shivaji Chowk. It is a very busy spot because the chowk is a major intersection where several roads meet. There is a constant flow of traffic and people walking by which means we never really have a quiet moment during the day. Our shop is quite small so we have to be very clever about how we stack our goods to make everything fit. You can hear the sounds of horns and people talking from the moment we open the shutters in the morning until we close them late at night. We don't have a big staff just a couple of us who take turns minding the counter and talking to the customers. Sometimes people just stop by to ask for directions because we are so close to the main landmark. The walls of the shop could use a fresh coat of paint but we are usually too busy to get around to it. We handle a variety of items and try to keep the most popular ones right at the front where they are easy to reach. It can get a bit overwhelming when a lot of customers come in at once because the space is so tight. We just try to be quick and keep the line moving. It is a hectic way to work but being at Shivaji Chowk means there is always something happening around us every single hour.
