A.S.Computers is over on Shiv Mandir Road, inside the J.M.Darshan building at A-107. Being on Shiv Mandir Road means things get very crowded during festivals, which is just part of being in this neighborhood. The shop itself is on the ground floor, which is lucky because we don't have to carry heavy monitors up any stairs. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by a long counter and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. We have a lot of cables and spare parts tucked away in drawers that stick a bit when you pull them. The walls are covered with a few old calendars. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Usually, it’s just one or two of us behind the counter. We spend our mornings cleaning the dust off the screens because the road outside kicks up a lot of it. It’s not a high-end boutique. It’s just a computer shop where people come when they have a problem or need something simple. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work to catch up on. The street outside stays busy until late at night, so there is always a bit of background noise. It’s a simple life and a simple business in a busy part of the city. We do what we can with the tools we have.
