Justin Mathew

I’m Justin Mathew and I am based out of Vettuparambil House in Chettiamparamba. That is near Kelakam in the Kannur district of Kerala. It is a very green and quiet part of the state, surrounded by trees and hills. I do all my work from a small room in my house. The address is quite long and sometimes confuses people who aren't from the area, but I've lived here my whole life. My workspace has a great view of the greenery outside, which is nice when I need to think. I don't have a big company with different departments or a fancy office in the city. It’s just me handling the daily tasks as they come. Sometimes the monsoon rains get really heavy and the power goes out, so I just light a candle and wait it out. I use some old wooden furniture that belonged to my father. It’s a bit worn out, but it feels comfortable. I don’t try to make the place look like a corporate headquarters. It’s just a home where I also happen to work. I walk down to the local post office in Kelakam whenever I need to send out mail. Everyone in the village knows who I am, so I don't do any advertising. I like the balance of working from home and being part of this small community. It’s a decent way to live and work without much stress.
