Srishti

We are over at No 4/307 on 3rd Main Road in Balaji Nagar, Villivakkam. It is a residential part of the city, so it is usually a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs. We call our setup Srishti, and it is run mostly from this small building. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside. Inside, it is just a plain space where we keep our supplies and do our planning. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and we see the same people walking their dogs or going to the store every day. We keep our tools on some old metal shelves and there is usually a stack of paper on the table for drawing out ideas. It is not the kind of place where you would expect a big corporation. We are just a few people who like working with our hands and staying busy. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, but we just put some cardboard down and keep going. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most people who come to us are friends of friends or neighbors from around Villivakkam. We spend our days making things and checking that everything is in order. It is a simple life and we like the fact that we can walk to the local tea shop in two minutes. Everything we need is right here in Balaji Nagar.
