Thirumudivakkam is a big industrial area. We are on 12th Main Road at Plot No. 149. The Sidco estate is always full of trucks and noise. Violin Technologies is tucked in there among all the other units. It’s not the easiest place to keep clean because of all the factory smoke around, but we try. The road gets muddy when it rains, so we have to watch our step. We spend most of our time inside the unit. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s just us working. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. The neighbors at 148 and 150 are loud, but you get used to it after a week. Sometimes we stand outside for a bit of air, but the 12th Main Road is always busy with people moving parts around. We don’t have a big sign, just a small one by the gate. Most folks who come here are looking for us specifically anyway. It’s a hardworking part of town. No one wears suits around here. We just wear what’s comfortable for the job. It’s a bit hot in the afternoons, so the fans stay on all the time. It’s an okay place to work if you don’t mind the industrial vibe of Sidco. We’ve been here since the 12th Main Road was much quieter than it is today. It gets the job done for us.
