If you head down to SIPCOT IT Park and find Second Cross Road, you’ll see our building. We’re at A38, right on the second floor. It’s a typical IT park vibe, with lots of glass buildings and people walking around with ID badges. At Avancer Software Solutions, we spend most of our time staring at screens. The office has those standard cubicles and the carpet that you see in every office building. It’s quiet inside, mostly just the sound of typing. We have a small corner where we keep the coffee machine, which gets a lot of use throughout the morning. The view outside isn’t much, just other buildings and the road, but it’s fine for us. We don’t really go in for big decorations. There are some whiteboards with scribbles on them that probably only make sense to us. Working here means getting used to the rhythm of the IT park, the way it gets busy at lunch and then goes silent again. We like the location because it feels professional, even if our own desks are a bit messy with notebooks and pens. Sometimes we stay late to finish a project, and the building feels very still then. We’re just a group of people doing our jobs in a space that works for us. Nothing more to it than that, really. We just come in, do the work, and go home to our families at the end of the day.
