Smart Creations

Smart Creations is based in the Ambattur Industrial Estate on 10th Street. It’s in the 1st Sector near the K-34 plot. The estate is a huge area and it can be hard to find us if you don't know the turnings. We’ve been working out of this unit for several years. The machines make a lot of noise during the day but we’ve gotten used to it. It gets really warm in Ambattur during the summer months so we have a few big fans going all the time. The 10th street is usually lined with trucks and delivery vans dropping off supplies or picking things up. We have a small office space at the front but most of the action happens in the back workshop. There’s no big sign outside just the address on the door. We drink a lot of coffee from the canteen down the road. Most of our guys have been here since the start and they know the equipment inside and out. It’s not a quiet place to work but we like the energy of the industrial estate. There’s always someone moving something or a hammer hitting metal somewhere nearby. We keep our tools organized on the wall so we can find them fast when we need them. It’s just a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day. We usually finish up and lock the gate by six.
