Pulsars

You can find Pulsars over at No 14 in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Thirumudivakkam. It’s quite a way out from the main city, so the commute for some of us is long. The estate is huge, and sometimes people get lost trying to find our specific plot. We’ve been here for several years now, working out of this shed. It’s mostly metalwork and engineering stuff happening on the floor. The noise from the machines can be quite loud, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a gate and the workspace inside. Chennai gets incredibly hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always spinning at full speed, though they don't do much. We have a small team of technicians who know the machines inside out. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or fixing parts that didn't come out quite right the first time. It’s a lot of manual labor and getting our hands dirty. We take our breaks under the shade of the tree out front when it's not raining. There isn't much to say about us other than we show up every morning and get the work done. We like the quiet of this industrial area compared to the city center. Most of the people working here have been with the company for a long time, so we all know each other's habits pretty well.
