Hewlet Packard

You can find us on Kambar Street in the Zamin Pallavaram area of Chennai. It’s tucked away in Patchaiyamman Nagar. The office is at number 14 B. It’s a typical Chennai neighborhood, quite warm and always bustling with activity. Hewlet Packard has been here for a while. It’s not a huge corporate office like the ones you see in the IT parks. It’s more of a local branch setup in a regular street. The building is painted a light color and has a small gate. Inside, we have our desks and some equipment set up. The salt air from being relatively close to the coast sometimes makes the metal parts rust a bit faster, so we have to keep an eye on that. We get a lot of local traffic, people coming in with questions or needing help with their gear. The staff here mostly speaks Tamil and English. We usually take our breaks when the sun is at its hottest. There’s a small tiffin center nearby where we get our breakfast and lunch. It’s a very grounded place to work. We don’t have fancy signs or a big lobby. Just a place where the work gets done and we go home at the end of the day. The street can be narrow, so if two cars come at once, it’s a bit of a squeeze. We just keep our heads down and get through the repairs and paperwork.
