Gislen Software

Gislen Software is based out of 28 Doraiswamy Pillai Street in West Tambaram. Chennai is a big place, but this part of town has its own rhythm. We are fairly close to the station, so there is always a flow of people moving toward the trains. Our office is a simple place where we write code and talk about software. It is not one of those high-tech glass towers you see in the IT parks. We are just in a regular building on a street with houses and other small shops. The room is usually filled with the sound of clicking keyboards. We have some decent monitors and chairs that have seen better days. During the rainy season, the street outside can get a bit flooded, so we sometimes have to hop over puddles to get to the door. We don't have a canteen or anything, so we just go out to the local spots for lunch. The sambar around here is usually pretty good. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the projects we have. It is a quiet kind of work, even if the street is busy. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, and the street gets real quiet at night. It’s just a bunch of people working on software in a normal neighborhood in Chennai. That's the way we like it.
