Upender Travels

Working out of H. No. 1-11-156 in Nethya Thanda, we stay busy with Upender Travels. This is the 13th Ward, and there are always people needing a ride somewhere, whether it is to the train station or a trip out of town. The house serves as our base where we keep the keys and the phone. I spend a lot of my time cleaning the seats and checking the oil to make sure the vehicle won't break down in the middle of a trip. Nethya Thanda is a good starting point for most of our routes. We get a lot of early morning calls, so I am often up before the sun to get things ready. It’s a lot of sitting and driving, which can be tiring for the eyes, but seeing different places every day is alright. We don't have a big fleet of cars, just what we can manage ourselves. My family helps out with taking messages when I am on the road and can't answer. The 13th Ward has a lot of narrow streets, so you have to be a careful driver to navigate around here without any scrapes. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that; people usually just find us through word of mouth or by seeing the car parked at the house. It's just simple transport work for the local community.
