Rekha Engineering Work

Rekha Engineering Work is over at Plot No 267/3 in GIDC Phase II. It’s a solid area for businesses like ours. We’ve been here since the phase was still relatively new. We mostly do machining and general engineering stuff. It’s just a few of us working the machines every day. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon, and we spend the last hour of the day sweeping it all up. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find me or one of the guys covered in oil. We just take orders as they come. Sometimes it’s a big batch of small parts, other times it’s one big piece that takes a week to get right. We try not to rush things because that’s when mistakes happen. The electricity in GIDC is mostly okay, but we’ve had our share of outages that set us back. We just deal with it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We named the place after my daughter, so we try to keep things running well. We don't spend money on ads or fancy signs. Most of our customers have been coming to us for ten years or more. They know where we are and what we can do. It’s just a regular workshop in a busy industrial zone, doing what we can with the tools we have. We like the work and we like being our own bosses here.
