Vijay Silk House (surat) Ltd.

Umarwada is a busy place, and that’s where you’ll find our office. We are located on the first floor of the Corporation Official Building, right inside the Bombay Market area. It’s not the quietest spot to work, but it’s where all the action is for textiles in Surat. We have been here for a good while now, dealing with all kinds of silk fabrics. The building itself is pretty standard for this part of town, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the stock. We spend our days handling orders and making sure the rolls of silk are sorted out correctly. Sometimes the stairs get a bit crowded when everyone is moving goods around at the same time. People know us as a regular fixture in the market. We don’t really do much in the way of big advertising or anything like that. Most of the people who come to see us have been doing business here for years. It’s a practical setup. We have desks, some shelves for the fabric, and enough light to see what we are doing. The Bombay Market is always humming with noise, and that spills into our workspace too. We just get on with the job of being a silk house. It’s hard work sometimes, especially when it’s hot, but this is home for the business. We just stay focused on the fabric and the customers.
