Vardhman Sarees

The shop is located at No. 1074 on the low ground floor of the Shiv Shakti Textile Market. Ring Road is always humming with noise, and our spot is right in the middle of it. We deal mostly in sarees. There are piles of them everywhere you look. It can get a bit dusty with all the fabric, but we try to keep it tidy. My brother and I manage the daily stuff. Customers come in looking for specific colors or patterns. Sometimes we have what they want, sometimes we have to dig through the back. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding all day long. The lighting in the market isn't always the brightest, but we make do. We've been in this building for several years now. You get used to the sounds of the carts rolling by in the hallway. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just find us by walking through the market floors. We grab tea from the stall downstairs twice a day. It helps us get through the long afternoons. Dealing with suppliers takes up a chunk of our time. Every morning we open up, sweep the floor, and start checking the new bundles. It’s honest work. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just stay at our spot and see who comes by. The market shuts down late, so we are here quite a bit until the lights go out.
