Uma Tools & Electricals

The shop is located at 68 Magdalla, and it is usually easy to spot because of the rolls of wire and tools sitting near the entrance. Uma Tools & Electricals isn't a huge place, but we try to cram in as many switches, bulbs, and hand tools as the shelves will hold. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big order comes in and we haven’t had time to put everything away. We get a lot of local workers and people from the neighborhood coming in because something broke at home or they are starting a small wiring job. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just know where most things are. If you ask for a specific screw or a certain type of fuse, we can usually find it after a bit of searching. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. It’s just me and a couple of others here most of the time. We spend the afternoon talking about the weather or the traffic on the main road while we wait for the next person to walk in. It is a quiet life at 68 Magdalla, but it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble. We just provide what people need to get their lights back on or their repairs finished. There is always something new to organize.
