Walson Woodburn Wire Die

Walson Woodburn Wire Die is tucked away in the Old GIDC area of Katargam. We occupy units 929 through 932, which are right near the Shed Holders Association Office. It is a very industrial neighborhood, so there is always the sound of machinery and metal clanging nearby. We work on wire dies here, which is a very specific kind of job. The workshop is usually humming with activity. We have a lot of specialized equipment for the dies, and it takes a lot of focus to get things right. The Old GIDC has been around for ages, and our units show a bit of that age, but they work fine for what we need. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you aren’t used to the Katargam layout. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or checking the measurements on the dies. There isn't much room for a lounge or anything like that; every bit of space is used for production or storage. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months. We have a small crew that has been doing this for years. They don't talk much while they work because they're focused on the precision of the dies. It’s a quiet kind of busy. We deal with a lot of local manufacturers who need these parts for their own wire production. It’s just an honest way to make a living in this part of town.
