Rekhamaniyar Fashions

You can find us at No. 221-226 in the Trade Centre. We are tucked behind Ashoka Tower and right across from the Abhinandan Market on Ring Road. This part of the city is always moving, especially with all the textile trade going on. Rekhamaniyar Fashions is where we handle a lot of wholesale clothing and some custom fashion work. The units are full of boxes and hanging garments. It’s hard to keep everything perfectly neat when you’re moving so much fabric every day. We have a few large tables for cutting and checking the quality of the stitching. The light isn't great in some corners, so we use these bright lamps. We deal with a lot of different shops that come to buy their stock from us. Sometimes we’re just sitting around waiting for a delivery truck to show up, and other times we’re rushing to pack everything before the market closes for the day. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting rolls of cloth and moving heavy cartons. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working warehouse where business gets done. We know the other shop owners in the Trade Centre, so there’s a lot of chatting in the hallways. It’s a loud, busy environment but we like the energy of the Ring Road area. We just focus on getting the orders out and keeping the stock moving. It’s a lot of long hours, but we get it done.
