We are based at Harsh Banglows in the Dindoli area of Surat. Our address is 1981, and it’s a bit different because it’s a bungalow rather than a typical commercial shop in a mall. We find that this setup works well for us. It’s a bit more relaxed and private. Dindoli has grown a lot over the years, but our little corner remains relatively steady. We handle a lot of jewellery work from here. It’s a space where we can actually focus without the constant noise of a main market street. We have our benches and tools set up in a way that makes sense for the way we work. It’s a lot of manual effort and paying attention to small details. We don't really have a big sign or anything like that. Most of our customers are people from the local area or folks who have heard about us from their friends. We appreciate the personal connection that comes with being in a residential neighborhood. Usually, our days are filled with taking orders and making sure the finishing on every piece is just right. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know how to do. We like being part of the Dindoli community. It’s a practical way to run things, and it keeps our overheads low so we can just focus on the craft. There is always a lot of work to do, but we enjoy the quiet.
