Target Classes

Target Classes is located on Ahluwalia Street, just off Anand Mahal Road. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been here long enough that people use us as a landmark. The building is an older one, and you have to walk up some narrow stairs to get to our rooms. We have a few classrooms with whiteboards and rows of benches that have seen better days. It’s not a luxury setup by any means. We focus on the books and the lessons. During the exam season, the place gets incredibly crowded. Students are everywhere, sitting on the steps or leaning against the walls while they wait for their turn. It gets pretty loud with all the talking and the sounds from the street outside. We spend a lot of time printing out practice sheets and making sure there’s enough chalk or markers for the day. Sometimes the fans make a clicking noise that can be a bit distracting, but the students don't seem to mind much. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from teaching to cleaning up at the end of the night. It’s a simple life. We see the same faces every day and watch the kids grow up as they move through different levels. Target Classes is just a practical place for learning. We don’t try to be anything else. We just open the doors and get to work.
