Suratwala Designer Sarees

Down here in Rustompura, things move a bit differently. We are at Moto mohallo near the Udhana Darwaja. If you know Surat, you know this part of town is all about the cloth business. Suratwala Designer Sarees has been sitting in this spot for quite some time. It is a small space filled with a lot of color. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is mostly just family and a few helpers getting the sarees folded and ready. The shelves are always packed and sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you want right away but we know where everything is kept. People from the neighborhood stop in and we spend time showing them different patterns and borders. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually when we take a small break. Our shop at 2/356 is easy to find if you are looking for the landmark. We deal with a lot of different suppliers to get these designs in. It gets dusty because of the road work nearby but we try to keep the fabrics clean. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment comes in from the looms. It is just honest work. We don't make big promises. We just show you what we have and you decide if you like it or not. That is how we have always done things here in Surat.
