Spark Classes

Spark Classes is located in the Ram Kung Housing Society, which is at number 24 on R K Vaidya Road in Adajan. It’s a nice enough area in Surat where people look out for each other. We use a space inside the housing society for our classes. It feels a lot more like a home than a cold school building, which I think makes the students feel more relaxed when they are here. We have our whiteboards set up and plenty of chairs for everyone who attends. The windows look out onto the society courtyard, so it’s usually much quieter than being right on the main road with all the cars. We’ve been here for a while, and the families living in the other flats are used to seeing students coming and going throughout the day. We don't have a big office staff or anything like that. It’s just us doing the teaching and handling the enrollments at the small desk near the door. There is always a stack of notebooks somewhere that needs grading or checking. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, papers tend to end up all over the place. The afternoon sun hits the front room pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time to stay cool. It’s a very local, neighborhood kind of business. We know the parents and we know the kids well. We just show up every day and do the work.
