Sonica Sarees

Our shop is right there on Lalgate Chakkapir Gali. If you are familiar with the area, you know it is always full of people moving around and doing their business. We mostly deal with sarees here. We have stacks of them piled up high on the counters and shelves. We spend a good part of every day folding and unfolding them for people who stop in to take a look. It takes a lot of work to keep everything neat, and honestly, by the time we close up for the evening, the piles usually look a bit of a mess. We have all sorts of different materials, some very plain and some with a bit more work on them. People come in and spend a long time deciding on colors. We do not mind that because that is just how saree shopping works. My family has been doing this for a bit, and we just keep at it. The street outside gets quite noisy with all the traffic and the other vendors, but inside we just focus on what the customer is asking to see. Sometimes we have exactly what they want and sometimes we do not, but we always take the time to look through the bundles. It is a simple setup with a few stools for people to sit on while they look. The floor is just concrete and we have old fans that hum while we work.
