Somu Music Classes

Somu Music Classes is located on City Light Road, specifically in the units 510/519. We are based in Surat, and this particular area of the city is usually pretty lively and full of energy. It’s not a huge music conservatory or some fancy academy like you might find in a big city. It’s really just a simple place where we have some instruments, some music stands, and a bunch of chairs. Most of the time, you can hear someone practicing a scale or a new song from down the hallway. We have different rooms for different lessons, but everything is fairly close together. Sometimes the sounds bleed into each other, which can be a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it goes when you’re learning music. We don't have a fancy front desk or a secretary. Most of the time, the teachers are the ones who have to stop what they are doing to answer the door or the phone. It is a very casual and relaxed environment. We have students of all ages coming in here. Some are young kids whose parents want them to learn, and some are older people who finally have some free time to pick up a new hobby. We don't use big academic words or talk about things like artistic excellence. We just show people where to put their fingers on the keys or the guitar strings. It’s just a local music spot on City Light Road.
