B S Music Academy

You can find the music academy on Anand Mahal Road, right at A/1. It is a lively spot because there is almost always someone practicing an instrument. If you walk by, you might hear a violin screeching a bit or someone trying to get a piano piece right for the tenth time. It’s not always beautiful music, especially with the beginners, but that is part of the whole process. The rooms aren't very big, and we have to use every bit of space for the instruments and the chairs. The walls have some old posters on them and the carpet is a bit worn out from students dragging their feet. We don’t have a big reception desk or a shiny lobby. It is just a place where people come to learn how to play. Anand Mahal Road is usually quite noisy with traffic, so we try to keep the windows shut when lessons are going on. We have sheet music piled up on the shelves and spare strings tucked away in drawers. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially on Saturday mornings when all the kids show up at once. The light in the main room is a bit dim, but it’s enough to see the notes. We just focus on the teaching part and don't worry much about how the place looks to outsiders. It’s a local spot for people who actually want to spend time practicing their music rather than just talking about it.
