Meena Dance Class

Meena Dance Class is located on Ghod Dod Road, right in Sector 11. If you know Surat, you know Ghod Dod Road is a pretty popular area with lots of shops and people moving around. Our studio isn't a massive hall with velvet curtains; it’s a practical space with mirrors and a floor that’s seen a lot of use over the years. We teach a variety of styles, and the room is usually filled with the sound of music and people trying to get their steps right. It gets quite loud and sweaty, especially in the evenings when the bigger classes happen, but that’s the best part of the day. The energy is just different when everyone is practicing. We don't have a big corporate structure here. It’s just us teachers and the students who come in after school or work. Some of the kids have been coming here since they were very small, and it’s nice to see them grow up. The air conditioning sometimes struggles when the room is full, so we just open the windows and let the breeze in. We don’t do much formal advertising; most people just hear about us from their friends or neighbors who have classes here. It’s a very informal place where the focus is just on moving and having a bit of fun. We don't care about being the fanciest studio in Surat; we just want a place where people can dance.
