Sohanpari Creation

We have been sitting here at 2/877 Hira Modi Street in Sagrampura for quite a long time now. If you know the area, you know it is right opposite the sub jail. The Ring Road is always loud and busy, which is just part of the day for us. We started Sohanpari Creation because we wanted to do something with clothes and fabric. It’s not a huge place. Just a few rooms where we get things done. Mostly, you’ll find us surrounded by scraps of cloth and thread. We don’t have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s more like a workshop where things actually happen. My cousin and I handle most of the stuff. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk to the neighbors. Other days, we are rushing to finish an order and the machines don't stop. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. We don’t really do ads or anything like that. People just know we are here. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. Usually, we get our lunch from the small place around the corner. It's a simple way to live. We’ve seen many shops come and go on this street, but we just keep doing our work. It’s just how it is at our spot in Sagrampura opposite the jail.
