Simmis Tuition Classes

You can find Simmis Tuition Classes over on City Light Road, at unit U/24. It is a small place, but it serves its purpose for the students who live around here. We mainly focus on helping kids with their schoolwork and making sure they understand what they are being taught in class. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; it is not like a strict school where you cannot speak. We encourage the students to ask as many questions as they need to, even if they think the questions are silly. There is usually a pile of bags near the door and shoes scattered everywhere because everyone takes them off before coming in. The street outside is often busy, so you can hear the cars passing by while we work on math or science problems. We started this because we saw a need in the neighborhood for a place where kids could get some individual attention. It is mostly just us and the students, day in and day out. We do not use any fancy technology, just books, pens, and a lot of explanation. Sometimes we have a little tea and biscuits when we finish a particularly hard chapter. It is a very local, small-scale operation, and we like it that way. Most of our students come from the buildings nearby, so it feels like a big family most of the time we spend here.
