Shveta Sarees is over in Katargam, at B/121. It's a busy part of town, always something happening on the streets. We've got sarees piled up in different sections because that’s what we do. It’s a small place but we manage to fit everything in. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of stock coming in, especially around the holidays or wedding seasons. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big sales team or anything, just a couple of us who know the fabrics. People stop by, look around, and we help them if they need it. It's a local shop feel, nothing like those big malls. We've been here long enough that most of the regulars know us by name. Katargam has changed a lot over the years but our spot remains pretty much the same. We keep things simple. No fancy displays or bright flashing lights outside. Just a sign and the doors. Usually, the radio is playing softly in the background while we fold things back up. It’s a lot of work keeping everything neat, but it’s what we do every day. We don't talk much about visions or anything like that, we just sell sarees to people who want them. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break. Then it’s back to the stacks. It is a long day but rewarding.
