Shubh Sarees

Surat Textile Market is always crowded and noisy. We are located at R-2110. It’s a very busy spot to be in. We’ve been here for a while now. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay until quite late at night. Dealing with sarees all day is just what we do. People come in from all over the city. Sometimes the traffic outside the market is just too much to handle. It is loud here every single day. Our space is filled with stacks and stacks of fabric and bundles. We spend most of our time unpacking new arrivals or helping someone find a specific color they saw somewhere else. It gets dusty in the market, but that's just how it is. We take our tea around four in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. Most days go by pretty fast because there is always something to move or fold. If you are walking through the market, you probably know how easy it is to get lost in the hallways. We are just one of many doors here. The lights stay on as long as customers keep walking in. We don't have much to say about ourselves other than we work hard. My brother helps out most days. We try to keep things organized but with so many sarees, it is really hard. Sometimes we run out of space for new stock. We just keep going, day after day.
