Shri Shyam Fashion

Up on the first floor of Royal Township, that’s where you’ll find us at Shri Shyam Fashion. We are in Shop number 1, so it’s right there when you come up. Landmark Market is the big place nearby everyone knows, and the Ahmedabad-Surat Transport is right next to us. You can always hear the big trucks idling outside while they load up for the long trips. It’s a bit of a trek up the stairs when we have heavy rolls to move, but we manage. Saroli is always moving, never a quiet moment with all the laborers and traders rushing around. We’ve got a small space here, but it works for what we do. The lighting isn't the greatest in the back corner, so we do most of the sorting near the front window. It gets pretty crowded when three or four people are inside at once. There’s no big reception desk or anything like that, just a table and some chairs where we sit and talk. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out the transport noise. Most days are spent checking the stock and talking to the drivers next door about when the next load is heading out. It’s a practical setup. We aren’t trying to be fancy. We just stay in our spot, handle the day's business, and try to keep things moving along. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it’s what we know.
